Japanese Ministry of Defense (MOF)

The Ministry of Defense (MND) is a Japanese government department, equivalent to China's Ministry of National Defense, which is mainly in charge of Japan's defense affairs. The highest position in the Ministry of Defense is the Minister of Defense, appointed by the Prime Minister. The Japan Self-Defense Forces (JSDF) under the ministry is one of the most powerful militaries in the world.
