Inuyasha (犬夜叉; ぬやしゃ) is a manga by the famous Japanese manga artist Rumiko Takahashi, which began serialization in Weekly Shonen Sunday in 1996 and ran for 12 years, with 45 million copies sold. The manga tells the story of Inuyasha, a half-demon who traveled to Higurashi, a junior high school girl, 500 years ago to search for a fragment of the Four Souls Jade during the Warring States period.
