Mercer Management Consulting, the world's most extensive human resources management consulting firm and the nation's largest investment management firm, was formerly a division of the MMC Group, which was founded in 1937; Mercer became a wholly owned subsidiary of the MMC Group in 1975; and in 2002, it changed its name to its current name. In 1975, Mercer became a wholly owned subsidiary of Visteon Group; in 2002, it changed its name to its current one.
