US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is a quasi-judicial agency directly under the federal government. Established in 1934 with offices in Washington, D.C., the SEC is primarily responsible for overseeing and regulating securities in the United States.
