Megaupload is a famous American online network hard disk service provider based in Hong Kong, China. The site supports the uploading of large files of 1GB and the saving of documents for a period of 3 months, making it the most widely used site in Europe and the United States, and ranking 85th in the Alexa rankings. The site was forcibly shut down in 2012 because it contained a large number of infringing writings, and was re-established on January 19, 2013 by Kim Dotcom, the original founder of the site, and formally served to the public.
