The London Symphony Orchestra (LSO) is the first of the three major symphony orchestras in the United Kingdom (the remaining two are the BBC Symphony Orchestra and the London Philharmonic Orchestra), and one of the world's highest level of symphony orchestras, established in 1904, and its predecessor is the Queen's Hall Orchestra, which was founded in 1895. The London Symphony Orchestra represents the standard of performance in the United Kingdom.
