Rango, an ambitious Paramount-produced animated feature film created by special effects leader Industrial Light & Magic and directed by Pirates of the Caribbean director Gore Verbinski, was released in theaters in March 2011. 2012 saw the film win the Academy Award for "Best Animated Feature" at the Academy Awards. In 2012, it won the Academy Award for "Best Animated Feature".
