GenBank

GenBank is a DNA sequence database created by the National Center for Biotechnology Information to promote the enrichment and updating of DNA sequences. Sequence data are obtained from public sources, mainly provided directly by researchers or by large-scale genome sequencing programs. In addition, GenBank has established data interaction partnerships with EMBL and DDBJ.
