Shinhan Bank, Korea

Shinhan Bank is one of the largest commercial banks in Korea and is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Shinhan Financial Group. Shinhan Bank originated from Hanseong Bank, which was established in February 1897; in October 1943, Hanseong Bank and Dongil Bank merged to form CHOHUNG Bank (Chosung Bank, the first bank in Korea with a history of over 100 years); in April 2006, it changed to its current name.
