Liberal Party of the Philippines

The Philippine Liberal Party (Partido Liberal Pilipinas) is the ruling party of the Philippines and the oldest political party in the country. It was founded in 1946 by Manuel Roxas, the fifth President of the Philippines, after splitting from the Nationalist Party in November 1945.... Its early members were mainly liberals who split from the Philippine Nationalist Party. It is currently chaired by Philippine President Benigno Aquino III.
