French Art Institute

The French Academy of Arts (Académie des Beaux-Arts) is an authoritative institution in the French art world, one of the five academies of the French Society, which was formed in 1803 by the merger of the French Academy of Painting and Sculpture, the French Academy of Music, and the French Academy of Architecture. The academicians of the Académie des Beaux-Arts are categorized into painting, sculpture, architecture, printmaking and music.
