Founded in the 1890s, the Denver Art Museum was originally known as the Denver Artists' Club, but it wasn't until 1949 that it opened its own galleries. The museum joined the Children's Center in the 1950s and the North Building in 1971. Another feature worth mentioning is that the original Chinese Pavilion in the Denver Art Museum is also well-collected and has great artistic taste. Among them are: pottery from the Han Dynasty and three-color ceramics from the Tang Dynasty, costume jades from the Qing Dynasty, and authentic paintings by artists such as Qi Baishi, Zhang Daqian, and Cheng Shifa.
