National Museum of American Women in the Arts

The National Museum of Women in the Arts (NMWIA) is a private, non-profit institution located in Washington, D.C., United States of America, and is a comprehensive center of artistic activity, research, and education about women, founded in 1981. The museum has a permanent collection of 2,700 exhibits dating from the Renaissance to the present, and the museum's website features photographs of 250 exhibits and profiles of women artists.
