Liberal Party of Australia

The Liberal Party of Australia is one of the two main political parties in Australia, founded in 1945 by former Prime Minister Robert Menzies and his supporters after they broke away from the former United Australia Party, which had been founded in 1917 as the former National Party of Australia. The Liberal Party of Australia is a blend of classicism and conservatism, and plays a role in politics similar to that of the Conservative Party in the United Kingdom.
