Intercontinental Exchange (Intercontinental Exchange; abbreviation: ICE) the world's fourth-listed exchange and the second-largest futures exchange in the United States, was founded by Jeffrey C. Sprecher in May 2000, is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, and is listed on the New York Stock Exchange; it was ranked No. 1012 on Forbes' 2014 Global Enterprise 2000 ranked #1012. Its biggest competitor is the New York Mercantile Exchange, part of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange Group (CMEGroup).
