"The Top 100 Chinese Restaurants Awards was originally an annual Chinese food industry awards event organized by the Chinese Food Newsletter magazine, and was later organized by the Chinese Restaurant Foundation in 2012 to recognize the most outstanding Chinese restaurants in North America and to honor outstanding restaurant professionals. The Top 100 Chinese Restaurants Awards is an annual Chinese food industry awards program originally sponsored by Chinese Food News magazine, and later organized by the Chinese Restaurant Foundation (CRF) in 2012, which recognizes the top 100 Chinese Restaurants in North America and honors outstanding restaurant professionals. The Chinese Restaurant Foundation is a non-profit organization that promotes the culture and development of the Chinese food industry, funded by the Chinese Food Newsletter, in collaboration with celebrity chef Wanda Yen, celebrity host Vivienne Lin, and more than a dozen influential U.S. Chinese food business owners. On January 6, 2014, the 10th annual "Top 100 Chinese Restaurants" will be held in Newark, California.
