John Denver is a famous American musician, country folk singer, actor, and author, born on December 31, 1943, and died on October 12, 1997, in a tragic plane crash. His major achievements are: in 1974, he won the Academy of Country Music Award for Album of the Year; in 1975, he won the American Music Award for Favorite Male Hip-Hop/Rock Musician, as well as the Emmy Award for Outstanding Multi-Species, Music, and Special Comedy; in 1976, he won the American Music Award for Favorite Male Hip-Hop/Rock Musician, Favorite Male Country Musician, and Favorite Country Album; in 1977, he won the Colorado Music Award for Best Country Folk Singer, and the Colorado Folk Singer Award for Best Country Album.
