Ito-Yokado, Japanese cosmetics company

Ito Yokado (Ito Yokado; Japanese: イトーヨーカドー; also transliterated: Ito Eido) is a dominant brand in the Japanese retail industry, and was once the parent company of the world-famous convenience store, 7-Eleven, which was founded in 1920 as the Yokado Yokocho.On September 1, 2005, Ito Yokado established a new holding company, Seven &I Holdings. -Seven & I Holdings; on December 26, 2005, Seven & I Holdings became the largest retailer in Japan and the fifth largest in the world by purchasing a controlling stake in Millennium Retailing Inc. which also owns Sogo Department Stores and Seibu Department Stores in Japan, for US$2 billion; and was ranked 131st on the 2011 Fortune World Fortune 500 ranked 131st in 2011.
