The film was directed by French director Michael Hazanavicius and stars Jean Dujardin and Berenice Bejo. The film uses a traditional Hollywood narrative to tell the love story between a declining actor and a rising actress.On February 26, 2012, The Artist won five awards at the 84th Academy Awards.
