English Football Association

The Football Association of England (The FA) was the world's first soccer association, founded by the British on October 26, 1863 at the Freemason's Inn, Queen Street, London, marking the beginning of a new era in soccer. At the time of its founding, the FA also developed and adopted the first national rules of the game in the United Kingdom, which were also the first rules of the game in the world.
