The Communist Party of Iran (CPI) was founded in 1983 in Iranian Kurdistan as the "Party of Justice" by the Iranian Revolutionary Workers in Baku in 1916. The organization works for freedom, political rights, social rights, women's rights, labour laws and workers' rights in the Iranian region.
