Yamaha group

The Yamaha Group (Yamaha Corporation; ヤmaha Co., Ltd.) is currently the world's largest manufacturer of musical instruments, and was formerly known as Nippon Musical Instrument Manufacturing Co., Ltd. which was founded in Hamamatsu, Japan, in 1887 by Toranami Yamaha. Yamaha's products include keyboard instruments such as pianos, electric pianos and synthesizers, and wind instruments such as brass and woodwinds, as well as stringed instruments such as violins and cellos, and all percussion instruments; in addition to acoustic equipment. Its business scope covers a wide variety of fields such as musical instruments, network products, sporting goods, audio, kitchen and bath products, engines, and patch machines.
