The Museum of Sex is a sex-themed museum in the Netherlands. Its exhibits are categorized into three main categories: material, institutional and spiritual, reflecting the extent and manner in which human beings have dealt with sex in the course of history. Among them, the material includes the conditions, organs and abilities that human beings must have in order to release the sexual energy that is constantly produced and stored up; the institutional includes the taboos, laws and systems related to sex that human beings stipulate in order to make the release of sexual energy compatible with the ecological-social order; and the spiritual includes the psychology, experience, concepts, and morality of sex, religion, art, philosophy, etc.
