SpiceJet is India's second-largest low-cost airline, after Air India Express, a subsidiary of Air India, which was established in 2004 and launched its operations on May 24, 2005, and is known for its "low airfares comparable to railways". SpiceJet is known for boasting "airfares comparable to railroads" and its hub airports are Chennai International Airport, Indira Gandhi International Airport and Rajiv Gandhi International Airport.
