Media Arts Festival, Agency for Cultural Affairs

The Agency for Cultural Affairs Media Arts Festival (文化厅介ディア芸術祭, Japan Media Arts Festival) is one of the three major indicative awards for animation in Japan (the other two being the Kobe Animation Award and the Tokyo Animation Award), sponsored by the Agency for Cultural Affairs of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan, and has been awarded since 1997 for awards related to art, entertainment, animation and manga.
