This website is the official website of the Swiss Federal Office for Migration (FOM) and provides information on the organization of the Office and on migration matters in German, French, Italian and English. The Federal Office for Migration is responsible for the management of foreigners who come to live or work in Switzerland, and has the authority to decide on applications for asylum, as well as for naturalization, in collaboration with the Federal Government, the cantons and social forces.
