The Swedish Ministry of Defence is the highest military administrative organ in Sweden, established in 1920, responsible for formulating national defence policy, preparing the national defence budget, approving the establishment of troops, equipment and training plans, etc. Its armed forces consist of the regular army and the national guard, and the regular army is divided into the three military branches of the army, the navy and the air force.
