The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, abbreviated as MLIT) is one of the central ministries and agencies of Japan, established in 2001, formerly known as the Ministry of Construction, the Ministry of Transportation, the Hokkaido Development Agency, and the Ministry of Land and Infrastructure, and is responsible for the management of territorial planning, infrastructure development, Transportation, Maritime Safety, Sightseeing, and Transportation, with the Meteorological Agency, Maritime Safety Agency, Tourism Agency, and Transportation Safety Committee.
