US Airways (All American Aviation Company) was founded in 1939 and is a member of the Star Alliance with hub airports at Charlotte Douglas International Airport, Philadelphia International Airport, Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, and Las Vegas McCarran International Airport. The merger of US Airways Group (US Airways) and AMR Group, the parent company of American Airlines, was officially announced on the evening of December 9, 2013, making it the largest airline group in the world.
