The European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) is the world's most authoritative international weather forecasting research and operational agency, an international organization comprising 24 European Union (EU) member states, and its predecessor is a European scientific and technical cooperation project. ECMWF was formally established in 1973 and is headquartered in Bracknell, United Kingdom.
