Eurotunnel

Eurotunnel is the British-French management and operating company of the Cross-Harbour Tunnel, founded in 1986 and headquartered in Paris. Eurotunnel's main profit comes from fees levied on trains such as the Eurostar. Eurotunnel took on a large amount of debt when it invested in the construction of the tunnels, but the actual number of passengers and freight traffic has fallen far short of expectations, which has led to the company's current operational difficulties.
