Newcastle (place name)

Newcastle United Football Club is one of the teams competing in the English Premier League, occasionally dropping into the Championship. Founded in 1881, the club's home ground is St. James' Park in Newcastle, and its home kit is a black and white striped shirt, nicknamed the Magpies. The team has won four English top flight titles, but this was before the 1930s and Newcastle have underachieved in recent years.
