RwandAir, formerly known as Rwandair Express, was established on December 1, 2002, with headquarters at Kigali International Airport and a hub at Kayibanda Airport in Grégoire; it changed its name to its current one in 2009, and in April of the same year announced a code-share with Brussels Airlines. RwandAir operates air services to southern and eastern Africa.
