The Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra (Rotterdams Philharmonisch Orkest in Dutch) is the second largest orchestra in the Netherlands after the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra of Amsterdam, and was founded in 1918 as an institution for the artistic training of professional musicians.
