Kashima Antlers (soccer team)

Kashima Antlers (鹿岛鹿角, Kashima Antlers) is a Japanese professional soccer club, formerly known as the Sumitomo Metal Industries Soccer Division, founded in Osaka in 1947, Kashima Antlers was officially established in 1974 and competed in what was then the Second Division. Kashima Antlers' home stadium is the Ibaraki Prefectural Kashima Soccer Stadium, which has a capacity of about 40,000 spectators. Kashima Antlers is the most successful club in the history of the J-League, winning the title seven times (as of 2014).
