Richemont Group, the world's second largest luxury goods company (by turnover) after LVMH, was founded in 1988 by South African tycoon Anton Rupert. Richemont Group is involved in jewelry, watches, leather goods, fashion and writing instruments, and owns some of the world's top luxury brands such as Cartier, Piaget, Vacheron Constantin, Dunhill, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Montblanc and Universal.
