Le Bon Marché, considered to be the world's first department store and the first specially designed store building in Paris, was founded by the Videau brothers in 1838; it was acquired by Mr. and Mrs. Boucicaut in 1848; and in 1984, it was acquired by Louis Vuitton, making it one of the most exclusive and luxurious department stores in Paris. It became a high-class luxury department store in Paris. Following the creation of the Le Pont-Marche department store, the Louvre department store, the Spring department store and the Samaritan department store and other famous French high-end department stores have emerged one after another.
