KK American Doughnuts (Krispy Kreme Doughnuts), the second largest doughnut mega-chain in the United States, was founded in 1937 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and is headquartered in New York City under the New York Stock Exchange-listed Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, Inc. umbrella. To date, KK American Doughnuts has operations overseas, including Canada, Mexico, Hong Kong, Japan, Southeast Asia, the United Kingdom, and Australia.
