Calcio Catania is a professional soccer club based in Sicily, founded in 1946, with a home stadium, Stadio Massimino, which has a capacity of nearly 30,000 spectators. The team has been playing in the lower Italian leagues for a long time, and returned to Serie A in the 2006/07 season after 22 years of farewell.
