Corning Incorporated

Corning is an American specialty materials manufacturer founded in 1851 and headquartered in Corning, New York. Corning produces specialty glass and ceramic materials for a wide range of applications in high-tech consumer electronics, telecommunications, life sciences, and mobile emissions control. Corning invented and manufactured the glass light bulb (1879), the television picture tube (1947), and produced the world's first optical fiber (1970).
