Universal Music Group (UMG) is the world's largest record label, part of the Vivendi Group, a giant French media conglomerate founded in 1912, with the world's largest library of music content, a wide range of music labels, the world's top three tenors, and many world-class and Chinese music superstars. Since 1998, Universal Records has been one of the four largest record labels in the world, along with Sony, EMI and Warner.
