The Royal Netherlands Football Association (Dutch: Koninklijke Nederlandse Voetbal Bond; abbreviation: KNVB) is the body responsible for the management of soccer in the Netherlands, including the Dutch leagues at all levels as well as the Dutch national soccer team, founded in 1889; in 1904, it officially became a member of UEFA. The Dutch national soccer team under the KNVB was once regarded as "the strongest team in Europe", and was ranked first in the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) world ranking for the first time in August 2011, with famous representatives such as José Cruyff, Alihan, Neskens, Gullit and other stars.
