Fonterra Co-operative Group Ltd (Fonterra Group, Fonterra) is the world's largest dairy exporter, established in October 2001 as a result of the merger of New Zealand's two largest dairy companies at the time and the New Zealand Dairy Board.On August 2, 2013, some of Fonterra's dairy products were tested for with Clostridium botulinum, causing serious harm to New Zealand milk powder and Chinese milk powder.
