International Daily News, the parent newspaper of the International Daily News Group, was originally founded by Taiwanese compatriots in 1981 as a Chinese language newspaper; it was later purchased by Xiong Delong, Chairman of the Xiong Group, in 1993 with a large sum of money; after the 21st Century, the newspaper set up its headquarters in Los Angeles, USA, and Jakarta, Indonesia, respectively.
