GT Bicycles is a famous bicycle brand originated from the United States, now belongs to the Canadian Dorel Group, was co-founded by Gary Turner, a welding engineer and Richard Long, a bicycle store owner in the United States, in 1979; later merged with Schwinn in 1998; in 2001, was acquired by Pacific Cycle; and finally in 2004, was acquired by the Canadian Dorel Group. In 1998, the company merged with the famous bicycle brand Schwinn; in 2001, it was acquired by Pacific Cycle; and finally in 2004, it was acquired by the Canadian Dorel Group.
