Columbia Broadcasting System (abbreviation: CBS) is one of the three largest traditional broadcasters in the United States (the other two are ABC and NBC), founded in 1927, headquartered in New York City. 1941, CBS officially opened the television broadcasting; in 1954, it began to broadcast color television. Because the CBS logo resembles an eye, it is known as the "Eye Channel", and because its viewers, like ABC, tend to be older, it is also known as the "Senior Channel".
