France Post (La Poste) is the second largest employer in France, wholly owned by the French government. Founded in 1576 and headquartered in Paris, La Poste provides postal services such as mail, parcels, and courier services in metropolitan France as well as in overseas territories. In the 2013 Fortune 500 ranking, La Poste was ranked 349th.
