Facebook is an American social networking site for college students. Created on February 4, 2004, Facebook was founded by a few students at Harvard University, and provides almost everything a college student needs for their daily life experience.Facebook lists the coolest people, the weirdest ideas, and the most popular music, and it's like an ever-changing yearbook. Anyone in the world who has an e-mail address with a university suffix (e.g. .edu, .ac.uk, etc.) can sign up. Later, social networks for high schools and companies can also be created in Facebook. And as of September 11, 2006, any user can join by entering a valid email address and their age group. Users can choose to join one or more networks, such as high school, company, or regional. According to July 2007 data, Facebook has the most users of any site whose primary business is serving college students: thirty-four million active users (including those in non-college networks.) Facebook is the number one photo-sharing site in the U.S., with eight and a half million photos uploaded daily.
