The Russian State Duma (Госуда́рственная Ду́ма) is the lower house of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, a permanent legislative body of Russia with 450 seats, whose deputies are Russian citizens over 21 years of age and serve for a five-year term. Its main duties are to draft and enact laws, pass or veto the president's nomination of the prime minister, etc.
