FC Shakhtar Donetsk is a Ukrainian professional soccer club founded in 1936, with a home stadium, Donbass Stadium, with a capacity of 52,000 spectators. FC Shakhtar Donetsk is one of the most successful clubs in the Ukrainian Premier League, and is considered one of the two powerhouses of the Ukrainian Premier League along with Dynamo Kyiv.
